For the past three years, Rapid Quality Manufacturing (RQM) and Morris Technologies, Inc. (MTI) have been collaborating on a variety of Aerospace projects that have involved highly challenging and intricate designs that fully leverage the enabling aspects of DMLS. Select leading companies from the Aerospace industry have found the unique capabilities of both RQM and MTI combine to create a powerful value stream that has given them a significant competitive lead in their respective fields of use. Each company’s core competency plays an important role in this process:
1) MTI works on initial design, feasibility studies, final product optimization and initial prototypes.
2) RQM works on batch production runs, support structure optimization, process validation, and secondary processing. The work that we do at RQM relating to Aerospace is strictly controlled and restricted. This is due to individual customer requirements but can also be mandated by the government and military in certain situations.
