Landmark Mechanical Testing System

RQM announces start-up of their MTS Landmark © material testing center.  RQM will use this system to validate the EOS base process and build a mechanical properties database, including High and Low Cycle Fatigue, Rupture, Compressive, and Tensile testing.  Our testing will start at room temperature, and will encapsulate data curves all the way up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.  

The MTS system will also be part of RQM’s ongoing Quality Control Strategy.  Along with powder lot chemical composition and particle size traceability, we now have the capability to certify tensile specimens on an ongoing basis.  As full production ramps up, RQM is equipped to capture mechanical properties from each build and ensure material characteristics are within our customer specific quality limits.
